Interface with FEMA and other governmental and non-governmental organizations in obtaining disaster assistance, community assistance, individual claim assistance as well as post-disaster planning assistance. Support and advice regarding future land use and other regulatory approaches to aid in claims and assistance opportunities in the future should the need arise.
Extensive experience in liaison, interface, negotiation, regulatory approvals, permitting, legislation support, claims settlement and litigation involving all components of wetland and other related environmental habitats. Corporate interface and other client support with respect to local, state and federal governmental bodies with respect to all regulatory and legal issues involving wetland and other ecological related land use and valuation issues.
"Lead chair" or support role before and with all community (municipal) and public regulatory, legislative and oversight proceedings. Preparation of presentations, testimony, expert testimony and support on behalf of governmental, regulatory, community, not-for-profit and corporate clients at and before public, municipal, community and other similar proceedings.
Assistance in preparation of local and state land use and regulatory legislation, regulation and ordinances. Preparation of and actual expert testimony before legislative bodies. Provision of support materials including facts, data and expert opinions relative to legislative decision making and before hearing and appeal boards. Interface and negotiation with legislators and lawmakers at the local, state and federal levels.
Advise, support, assist and counsel on all land use and zoning matters related to Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) maps, flood designations and other related regulatory and legal issues. Private, corporate and community advice on all matters such as land use planning, land valuation, project impacts, project support, environmental impacts and legal ramifications relating to implementation of flood maps, flood elevations, land use requirements and zoning.
Counsel, advice, trial preparation, trial prosecution, expert testimony, expert testimony preparation and related expert identification relative to all insurance-related claims and matters arising from flooding, flood mapping and related post-disaster issues. Representation of individuals, corporations, communities and insurance companies (as well as expert testimony on behalf of the same) with respect to individual insurance claims, class action claims and preparation and prosecution of subrogation claims on behalf of insurance carriers and re-insurance companies. Interface with and preparation and assistance of insurance claims adjusters as well as public adjusters on behalf of claimants.
